In April 2017 I ran the Pyongyang City Marathon in North Korea. It was not the first time I travelled to the "Hermit Kingdom" as I already skied there in 2014, at the Masik Pass Ski Resort in the South of the country. Here's the story I wrote for Quartz about the marathon.

In December 2016, I pitched a project to the website BBC Capital on the costs of cycling versus public transport for commuting. I reported and wrote the feature, and worked with data journalist Miriam Quick on an infographic for the story.

Ever heard of Italian version of absinthe? Called Tamango, it's made in Turin, Italy. Famous among the city's students, this drink is one of the strongest ones I have ever tried. I wrote about it for BBC Travel in 2016 (if you are browsing from the UK, you will need a proxy to read it).

On the tiny island of Tory (off the coast of County Donegal, Ireland), I met Patsy Dan Rodgers. He's the last king of Ireland and I interviewed him for BBC Travel. Here is my story.

In August 2015, I pitched, and was assigned, my first feature for a UK publication. My piece for The Guardian includes an interview to Italian pro surfer Nicola Zanella, who is setting up a surf camp in North Korea. The piece was the lead for The Guardian's travel section that day. In 2010, I began working as a journalist for the Italian daily newspaper La Stampa. I first covered local and regional news, and later also contributed to the multi-regional channels of the newspaper, focusing on mountain sports and news, and for the foreign desks, reporting from North Korea, the US and covering the 2014 Romanian presidential elections.

I also wrote about my skiing and travel experiences in North Korea for the French daily Libération and the sport magazine Desports.

Here you can find a selection of my most relevant work for La Stampa and other publications, including for Libération and the Italian-American weekly newspaper L'Italo-Americano (whom I worked for during a three-month internship in 2015 in Los Angeles).

I continue to write frequently for Italian publications online. Below are some of the articles I have published since moving to London in April 2015.
